Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can. This page explains what data is used when you visit the site, buy a subscription and use the panel.

This website

• The site has no analytics and no tracking cookies.
• It is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and time of request) to run and protect the service.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch them.
• The main page loads Lemon Squeezy's checkout script (lemon.js), so your browser connects to Lemon Squeezy when you open it, not only when you check out.

Buying a subscription

Checkout runs on Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. They process the payment, handle taxes and issue receipts. Their privacy policy applies to your payment data; we never see your full card details.

From Lemon Squeezy we receive your name, email, country and order details. We use them to deliver your licence, answer support requests and keep records the law requires.

The panel

• To activate and check your licence, the panel sends your licence key, a computer name or instance ID, and the app version to Lemon Squeezy's licence API.
• To check for updates, it fetches hookline.ae/version.json.
• During setup, the panel downloads speech recognition once: whisper.cpp from GitHub, ffmpeg from gyan.dev and the speech model from Hugging Face. Only these files are downloaded; no media or text is uploaded.
• Captions and transcription run on your own computer (Whisper, locally). We do not upload your media.
• The optional Translate feature sends text to DeepL or LibreTranslate only if you set it up with your own key. Their terms apply to that text.

Support emails

When you write to us, we keep the emails so we can answer and follow up on your request.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@hookline.ae. Some order records may need to be kept for tax reasons; we will tell you if that applies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
